Pure Pours returns to The International this October, bringing one of New Zealand’s most celebrated wine regions back to the heart of Sydney for its second edition.
Taking over The Wine Bar and Panorama Bar on Saturday 17 October 2026, Pure Pours: Central Otago NZ Wine Festival will welcome more than 20 wineries from across Central Otago for an afternoon of roaming tastings, producer conversations and discovery-led drinking.
Known for its dramatic alpine landscapes, extreme growing conditions and expressive cool-climate wines, Central Otago has built a global reputation for Pinot Noir, while also producing excellent Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and other aromatic varieties. For one afternoon only, guests will be able to taste the breadth of the region in one place, from bright, precise whites and textured Chardonnays to méthode traditionnelle sparkling and the perfumed Pinot Noirs that have put Central Otago on the world stage.
This year’s line-up features some of the region’s most respected names, including Rippon, Quartz Reef Wines, Te Kano Estate, Burn Cottage and Domaine Rewa.
Set on the shores of Lake Wānaka with views to the Southern Alps, Rippon is one of Central Otago’s most recognisable estates. The land has been cared for by the same family for four generations and is farmed biodynamically, producing wines deeply connected to the place.
Quartz Reef Wines, based in Bendigo, is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading producers of méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine, combining old-world technique with Central Otago terroir. Burn Cottage, a family-owned biodynamic-focused estate in the foothills of the Pisa Range, has become a cult name for expressive Pinot Noir. Te Kano Estate brings a strong sense of land and site expression to the line-up, with wines shaped by vineyard, season and place across Central Otago. Domaine Rewa, a small organic and biodynamic producer in Lowburn, produces limited quantities of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling, offering a boutique expression of the region.
Designed for both wine lovers and the wine-curious, it is a chance to move through the venue at your own pace, meet the people behind the bottles, ask questions, compare styles and discover why Central Otago continues to capture the attention of drinkers around the world.
